About

Stubton Hall is a 19th century country house set on the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire border just a short drive from the historic market town of Newark.

When my late husband Kent and I first walked up the drive, Stubton looked sad and forlorn. The shutters were closed, the park was overgrown and, even worse, dotted around the elegant, old house were the most incongruous 1950s dormitories. Kent went ballistic! We dreamed that it would be great to buy this place, knock down those horrible eyesores and make the Hall sparkle again, and so we set out on an adventure.

The things we first loved about Stubton – its unspoilt rural location away from noisy roads, its lovely park, and its elegant rooms – are the very aspects that make it the perfect place for swanky house parties, smart nuptials or an important business meeting. It is a grand, old English country house, but a comfortable one where you can sink into a sofa by a roaring fire and are treated like a family friend in a lovely home.

We created a house that is a convenient mix of old and new, filled with beautiful antiques and paintings, but with modern touches such as air conditioning, WIFI access, decent showers, and extremely comfortable beds.

And the best part of all? If you book an event at Stubton Hall, you will have the whole place to yourselves: 25 bedrooms, 4 reception rooms with adjoining terraces, an Orangery that seats 200 people and 23 acres of enchanting park and gardens.

My staff and I look forward to welcoming you to Stubton Hall. It will be our pleasure to take care of you while you are here.
